Foxtail millet Sweet potato Kichadi
Indulge in Foxtail Millet Sweet Potato Kichadi – a dish rich in vitamins A, C, K, B9, and E. A healthy feast for your taste buds and well-being!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup Foxtail millet (soaked 7-8hrs)
1 cup sweet potato
3 tbsp crushed peanuts
Tempering
1 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seed
1/2 tsp mustard seed
1 chilli
7-8 curry leaves
3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
3 tbsp freshly grated coconut
Salt as per taste
Method:
soak the foxtail millet 7-8 hrs or overnight.
Next day cook these millets and sweet potato chunks in cooker (2 whistle)
In a large pan give tempering, then add crushed peanuts roast 2-3 minutes. Then add cooked millets and sweet potato.
Add salt, coriander leaves and freshly grated coconut. Mix well.
Turn of the heat. Serve warm with curd.
