Prosciutto and Mozzarella Puff Pastry Roll-ups

Ingredients:
• 1 lb (450 g) puff pastry
• 5.3 oz (150 g) fresh mozzarella, torn into pieces
• 4 slices of prosciutto
• Grated Parmesan, to taste
• 1 egg, for egg wash
• 2-3 tbsp (30-45 ml) marinara sauce

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
3. Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the puff pastry.
4. Evenly layer the prosciutto slices and torn fresh mozzarella over the puff pastry.
5. Carefully roll the puff pastry into a log shape, starting from one of the longer sides. Roll it tightly but gently to keep all the ingredients inside.
6. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled-up pastry into rounds. You should get around 10-12 slices.
7. Place the slices cut side down on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring there is some space between each slice.
8. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the tops of the pastry slices with the egg wash. This will give them a golden, shiny finish.
9. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and cooked through. The cheese should be melted and bubbly.
11. Remove the puff pastry roll-ups from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
