Kidney bean patties are savory, vegetarian patties made primarily from mashed kidney beans, onions, and various spices. They're seasoned with garlic, ginger, coriander, cumin, paprika, and chilli for a flavorful kick. The mixture is formed into patties and either Air fried, pan fried, or grilled until golden brown and crispy on the outside. These patties are a popular meatless option, rich in protein and fiber, and can be served as a burger alternative or as a standalone dish.


Let's dive into cooking !!!


Ingredients :


Kidney beans - 1 cup

Salt - 1 Tsp

Ginger - 1 Tsp

Garlic - 1 Tsp

Green Chilli - 3

Onion - 1/2

Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp

Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp

Garam Masala - 1 Tsp

Chickpeas powder - 2 Tbsp

Oil - 1 Tbsp

Coriander leaves - for garnish


Preparation :


Clean and soak kidney beans overnight. Pressure cooker kidney beans with salt for 3 whistles. Drain the water and keep the kidney beans aside.


Take a blender and add ginger, garlic, chilli and onion then  blend coarse. Now add the kidney beans to the blender and blend coarse.


Place the mixture in a bowl and add coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala along with chickpeas powder. Mix all the ingredients together.


Now make the patties and place them on the air Fryer tray, apply little oil and start air frying!!!


Temp : 300 °F

Time : 20 Minutes 


You can do pan fry patties also (with little oil).


It's a tasty and healthy dish and will be amazing when served hot. Garnish it with the coriander leaves. Serve it with your favorite sauce and enjoy!
