Classic Gin and Tonic Recipe

I started drinking at 30 years old and a Gin & Tonic was the first drink I really enjoyed. So it naturally had to be one of the first things I learned how to make at home. Paying $15 per G&T seemed a little ridiculous when I can make one at home for less than $5. Plus, I'm am overly confident in my abilities to make drinks better than the bartenders in Utah.

Admittedly, it did take me a couple of trys to get this one right because there wasn't a clear ratio of gin to alcohol that I could find in a recipe book or online. It seems like a lot of it is personal preference. And my preference is that, yes I enjoy the taste of the drink, but that it also gets me buzzed without having to drink too much.
