Ingredients:
-Chana daal (Split Bengal gram) 2 Cups (soaked overnight)
-Doodh (Milk) 3 Cups
-Doodh (Milk) 1 & ½ Cup
-Ghee (Clarified butter) ½ Cup
-Ghee (Clarified butter) 4 tbs (add gradually 2 tbs at a time)
-Sugar 1 Cup or to taste
-Elaichi powder (Cardamom powder) ½ tsp
-Kewra essence 1 tsp
-Pista (Pistachios) sliced 2 tbs
-Badam (Almonds) sliced 2 tbs
-Kishmish (Raisins) 2 tbs
-Khopra (Desiccated coconut) 1 tbs
-Pista (Pistachios) sliced
-Badam (Almonds) sliced
Directions:
-In a wok,add split bengal gram,milk,mix well & bring it to boil,cover partially & cook on low flame until tender (12-15 minutes) then cook on high flame until it dries up.
-Let it cool.
-In a chopper,add boiled lentil,gradually add milk & chop well.
-In a wok,add clarified butter & let it melt.
-Add lentil paste,mix well & cook on medium flame for 15-20 minutes or until it leaves the sides of the pot & mix continuously.
-Gradually add clarified butter (2 tbs at a time),mix continuously & cook on low flame until it changes color (15-20 minutes).
-Add sugar,cardamom powder,kewra essence,mix well & cook on low flame until sugar melts (10-12 minutes).
-Add pistachios,almonds,desiccated coconut,raisins & mix well.
-0n a greased tray,lined with butter paper,add halwa mixture & spread evenly.
-Sprinkle pistachios,almonds,press gently & let it rest for 10 minutes.
-Cut into diamond shape.
-Let it cool completely on room temperature & serve!
