* 1 cup Masoor Dal or Red Lentils
* Green Mango – Small Size one
* Panchphoron – Bengali five-spice mix 1/2 tsp
* Dried Red Chilli 1
* Water
* Mustard Oil
* Salt to Taste
* Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
* Sugar to taste


Wash and cook the lentil with some salt and turmeric powder and couple of drop of water till it’s done but not mushy

Cut the mango in strips
Heat oil in a pan
Add Bengali five spices and red chili let it crackle
Add the mango , salt sugar and little turmeric Sautee for 5 min
Add the boiled lentil water and cover and simmer for 10 minutes till mango is done but not mushy

Serve with rice
