Let's make some delicious cold brew. Mardi Gras King Cake coffee is a perfectly balanced blend of cinnamon and sweet vanilla flavors that’ll keep the good times rolling.
What You’ll Need | Cold Brew:
• 6 oz (½ bag) Mardi Gras King Cake ground coffee
• 5½ cups cold or room-temperature water
• 1 whole cinnamon stick (optional)
• Two 46 oz sealable containers (one for steeping, one for storage)
• Cheesecloth
• Rubber band or string
Step 1: Prep the Coffee
Add coffee, water, and optional cinnamon stick to one of your brewing containers. Gently stir to fully saturate the ground coffee.
Step 2: Steep
Seal your container and let steep for 20–24 hours in the fridge. The longer you steep, the stronger the cold brew’s flavor will be.
Step 3: Strain
After steeping, place your cheesecloth over and slightly into your second container’s lid. Secure the cheesecloth in place with a rubber band or string. Slowly pour your steeped coffee through the cheesecloth and into the second storage container, then dispose of the used grounds.
Step Four: Serve & Store
Fill a cup with ice, then pour in your cold brew. If you want to dilute the cold brew, we recommend a 1:1 ratio of coffee to water or milk, according to preference. You can store the remaining cold brew in the fridge for up to 5 days.
