How To Bake Flan In Ramekins
6oz ramekins (6 counts)
Caramel:
1/3 cup of sugar (75g)
4 Tablespoons of water (60ml)
(Cook on medium heat, dont stir)
After reaching the desired caramel color, turn off stove and add 2 tablespoons (30ml) of water to the caramel pot.
Custard:
4 large eggs
1/3 cup of sugar (75g)
1 and 2/3 cups of milk (400ml)
4Tablespoons of heavy whipping cream (60ml)
(Cook milk and heavy cream on low heat until it starts to bubble)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (4ml)
Cover the ramekins with foil.
Pour boiling water to the baking tray.
Bake at 300°F, for 40-44 minutes. Refrigerate at least 5-6 hours after done.
