Follow us on another delicious $5 lunch challenge adventure! This week, we look for a cheap vegetarian meal which we have to shop for, cook, and prepare in under an hour. First we set off to No Frills grocery store where we buy chickpeas, coconut milk, tomato paste, and cilantro. Then we rush over to Bulk Barn to find rice and seasoning. After eyeballing the weighing process, we end up using exactly $5! Now it's the hard part - running over to the office kitchen and preparing the dish. We cook the rice and stew in a microwave, and then add the garnish and seasoning. With eleven seconds to spare to finish our yummy chickpea curry dish! We hope this speedy meal idea inspires you to get creative on your school or work lunch breaks
