No better snack recipe than this!! It’s so easy to make and a must try all ♥️
Ingredients:
• 1/2 block paneer
• Black salt, to taste
• 2.5 tablespoons mayonnaise
• 2 teaspoons mustard
• 1/2 teaspoon honey
• 1 teaspoon lime juice
• 3-4 pickled jalapeños, diced
• 1/4 of a bell pepper, diced
• 1 tablespoon green onion, chopped
• 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon red chili powder
• 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
• 1 teaspoon peri peri masala
• sourdough bread
• Butter
• Lettuce leaves
• Tomato, sliced
• Sesame seeds, for garnish
Method:
1. Soak the paneer block in hot water with a pinch of salt for about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. In a mixing bowl, add mayonnaise, mustard, honey, lime juice, diced jalapeños, diced bell pepper, and chopped green onion.
3. Season the mixture with turmeric, salt, red chili powder, black pepper, and peri peri masala.
4. Crumble the soaked paneer into the mayonnaise mixture and mix until well incorporated. Adjust seasoning with black salt if needed. Set aside.
5. Slice sourdough bread into thick pieces.
6. In a pan, toast the bread slices on one side until lightly golden.
7. Add butter to the side of the pan and sprinkle peri peri masala over it. Let the butter melt and coat the bread with this spiced butter. Toast well.
8. Arrange the sliced tomatoes on one of the toasted bread slices. Season with salt and a few drops of lime juice.
9. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the tomatoes.
10. Spoon the paneer mixture over the lettuce.
11. Garnish with sesame seeds and a sprinkle of peri peri masala. Enjoy!!
