Today, I bought a tempura bento, which is popular among Japanese people. In Japan, there is a custom of eating tempura to keep your physical strength from decreasing in the summer heat. After dinner, we went to a summer festival. At the old festival, people perform young Bon dances and carry mikoshi (portable shrines). It is a Japanese tradition that men and women of all ages can come together and enjoy.
